Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements:
Eligible and potential candidates for any Diploma programme are those with relevant good passes in Advanced level of Secondary Education or passes in Ordinary level of Secondary Education with additional qualification equivalent to National Technical Award level IV (Technician certificate). Applicants for Certificate programmes are expected to have successfully completed Ordinary level of Secondary Education or possessing an NVA level III qualification.

Fees
The tuition fee for various Diploma and Certificate programmes for Tanzanian citizens is approximately Tsh. 900,000/= per annum (two semesters). However, this does not include accommodation and food, items which are paid directly to service providers based on the type of service opted by respective student. Also, the fee stated above doesn’t include industrial training, projects or any other student related incidentals. On the other hand, fees for foreign students attending Diploma or Certificate course is about US$ 4000 per academic year ( 2‐Semesters) which covers tuition, food and accommodation. In addition to that, a foreign student is expected to cover for his personal
incidental expenses and the cost of fieldwork attachment, which takes an average of 45 days.

Admission
Those wishing to join Fisheries Education and Training Agency (FETA) for any long‐course training programme have to apply for admission to the Chief Executive, preferably during April‐May period; Information on the courses offered each year is advertised in newspapers and radio in the months of March and April.
